what is Cotton? Washable cotton? Do you know the difference between fabrics?| Hanbi Textile

Scrubbing scrubbing fabrics

Grinding is actually just a process in the textile industry, meaning that the use of a machine in the flat cloth surface friction, so that the cloth surface appears a layer of short wool, this machine is called grinding machine.

We usually say that the "wool grinding" in the four-piece set refers to the cotton cloth is processed and produced in a unique way, and then the surface of the layer has the feeling of short fluff, soft, comfortable, rich, easier to manage. Scrubbing is thicker and closer than the general cotton material, which is a good choice for winter bedding.

Active printing & paint printing

Reactive printing A printing that uses reactive dyes to permeate fabric. Active printing fabric bright color, good color fastness, soft to the touch, can be washed without fading.

A print made by covering fabric with paint. Paint cannot be combined with fabric fibers. The process is simple and the cost is low. But the formaldehyde content is higher than the activity, and the printing part is sticky, contact skin uncomfortable.

How to tell the difference? This can be done by comparing the difference in hardness between printed and unprinted parts of the same fabric. The paint printed area feels a little harder than the unprinted area, perhaps a little thicker; There is no obvious difference in hardness between active printing parts and unprinted parts.

Combed cotton & pure cotton

Combed cotton is itself a type of cotton, and "combed" refers to the use of a combing machine to remove the shorter fibers of the cotton fiber, leaving longer, neat fibers. Combed cotton and pure cotton are somewhat similar in appearance, but there are certain differences.

The biggest difference between the two lies in the "combing" process, which makes combed cotton better than pure cotton in breathable effect, shrinkage resistance, durability, comfort, color and other aspects, and combed cotton is higher in price. However, the hygroscopicity of combed cotton is much worse than that of pure cotton, which can be identified by "viewing" and "touching" two methods.

Faded & faded

Fading is because in the printing and dyeing process, there is no dye to clean and formed floating color. Strictly speaking, as long as it is cotton products, there is no color-free, so those who answer you "color-free" need to be more careful, most of them are refined products. An important indicator of the severity of fading is color fastness. Color fastness refers to the resistance of textile color to various effects during processing and use.

Washed cotton & Cotton

Washed-cotton is made of cotton cloth as raw material. After special treatment, the surface color and luster of the fabric are softer, and the feel is softer. It reflects a sense of old material in the slight crease degree, and has the advantages of not changing, not fading and not ironing. A good washed cotton cloth surface with an even layer of plush. Washed cotton can be divided into two categories, one is natural cotton, and the other is polyester as the main material.
